Makarska - private trip
The city of Makarska is one of the jewels of the Adriatic and offers something special for everyone. Even in one day you can experience the combination of Dalmatian atmosphere, crystal clear sea, fragrant pine trees and rich history. Be sure to take a walk along the Riva - a picturesque promenade, where you can enjoy the pulse of the town, as well as local specialties and refreshing drinks in cafes and restaurants. Also worth visiting is the Church of St. Mark, one of the most important historical and cultural symbols of Makarska. But also the malacological museum, which will tempt you with an impressive collection of shells. You should not miss the Franciscan monastery, whose history dates back to the 16th century, and which hides a rich library with valuable manuscripts. The port with smaller and larger boats and yachts is also a popular attraction, and the Osejava promenade is one of the most beautiful places to relax. And while you're in Makarska, not swimming in the clear sea with a magnificent view of the Biokovo mountain range would be a big mistake.
